Mental Health and Wellbeing Walk

Central Park, Scunthorpe

Including a tribute to HRH Queen Elizabeth II

Living Connections will be hosting a Mental Health and Wellbeing Walk on Saturday 24th September 2pm at Central Park in Scunthorpe, in association with The Cookie People.

The walk is free to join, it should last around 40 minutes and there will be regular stops at places of interest. You will receive a discount voucher for a standard drink and cookie from The Cookie People on site at The Hatch should you want refreshments and a treat after.

We will meet at the bench to the right of the UCNL car park. Look out for the plaque next to the bench which says Fit Circuit no 9, this is so you know you are in the right place. Living Connections event organisers will also be there to welcome you and will be wearing orange t-shirts.

Setting off at 2.15pm we will walk from there to the Baby Memorial where we will stop briefly. From there we will continue onto The Queens Trees where we will take a moment to reflect and pay tribute to HRH Queen Elizabeth II. We will resume our walk stopping at the Steelworkers Memorial briefly before continuing onto the fountain where we will again stop, this time to rest a little and admire our surroundings. We will finish our walk at The Cookie People Hatch where you will be able to purchase a drink and a biscuit at the discounted rate of £3.50 with the voucher provided.

We want you to enjoy your walk in the company of others and we welcome your furry four-legged friends too so please feel free to bring them along for a little fresh air and social interaction.
